MISSION STATEMENT
The Millville Housing Authority will provide adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunity, and a suitable living environment without discrimination. Additionally, it is the mission of the Millville Housing Authority to continue to operate as a high-performing agency and to promote the Authority as a positive force within the community.

To manage and operate all properties in a safe, timely, and cost effective manner in order to maximize the quality of life for our residents.

ABOUT US
The Millville Housing Authority is a federally funded, non-profit quasi-government agency that provides affordable housing to low to moderate income families, seniors, and people with disabilities. MHA is overseen by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. It uses its $4.0 million annual budget to provide safe and decent housing and other assistance for approximately 1,000 Millville citizens. The Millville Housing Authority is managed by a seven-member board of commissioners. Six are appointed by the Mayor of the city of Millville with the concurrence of the other city commissioners, the other is appointed by the Department of Community Affairs. It employs about 45 people to perform admissions, maintenance, property management, administrative, security and resident service duties.
For eight consecutive years, the Millville Housing Authority has been selected as a High Performer by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This much cherished ranking not only demonstrates that we manage the housing authority at a superior level but it shows that we are here to serve our residents. The Millville Housing Authority owns 7 housing developments in Millville. The developments have 479 units and house over 1,000 residents. MHA owns 30 Scattered Site units that are utilized by families. MHA also administers a Section 8 program which provides participants with affordable housing in the private market through rent subsidies. About 170 Millville families are housed with Section 8 vouchers.
