for elderly or disabled persons.
How will I know when the waiting list opens?
The Millville Housing Authority advertises by Public Notice when
our waiting lists open.
How
do I apply for Housing Program?
You can pick up an application for housing at the Millville Housing
Authority Main Office, 309 Buck Street, during normal business hours.
We suggest you call first to confirm that we are accepting applications
for the waiting list you wish to apply for. Reasonable accommodations
will be made available to assist persons with disabilities.
What
are your hours of operation?
The Millville Housing Authority is open Monday through Friday from
8:30 A.M. until 4:30 P.M.
Can
I look at a unit before I apply?
The Millville Housing Authority does not keep units open for viewing.
Our maintenance staff works hard to renovate units as quickly as
possible so the next person on our list can be offered. Once you
apply and your name comes to the top of the list, you will be made
an offer of a specific unit. When the unit is near completion, it
will be shown to you.
How
long is the wait for housing?
The wait on each list varies, and it is impossible to give anything
but an estimated amount of time. It is best that you ask this question,
at the time you return your application so we can try to give you
an estimated answer based on the current waiting list.
Are
there any activities offered in the buildings?
We are pleased you asked! Our elderly and handicapped/disabled buildings
each have a tenant implemented organization, that runs many holiday
parties, day trips, bingos, fairs, exercise classes and coffee hours.
Some of our family developments offer educational and recreational
activities.
