The
Millville Housing Authority can look back at the year 2003 with
pride at our accomplishments. We can also look forward to a
successful 2004.
There are many people to thank for making our accomplishments
possible. The individuals who sit on the Board of Commissioners
and Housing Commission are dedicated to the community and to
affordable housing. They have shown the courage of their convictions
through their actions. They have provided guidance and encouragement
when needed. |
The staff of the
Millville Housing Authority is made up of a terrific group of bright
and caring people. Individually and as a team, their performance is
amazing. Under some of the most difficult circumstances with federal
regulations changing almost daily, they have continued to provide
a quality of service for which I am very proud.
The Millville
Housing Authority has been designated a "High Performer"
under the Public Housing Assessment System, the management assessment
system that replaced HUD's Public Housing Management Assessment
Program. This designation has many advantages; primary among them
is the reduced level of federal government oversight and regulation.
The need for affordable housing in Millville continues to grow.
The Millville Housing Authority will continue to work to meet this
need and to retain the quality of life that we enjoy in our beautiful
community. The Board, Commission and staff of the Millville Housing
Authority are working diligently to meet our goals and to achieve
a successful 2004.
